Strengthening Support Program
APHFTA has partnered with PharmAccess International and the Medical Credit Fund of the Netherlands to implement the Medical Credit Fund (MCF) Program in Tanzania. The MCF program has two components: 1. Strengthening Support Program. 2.Quality Improvement Program

  1. Strengthening Support Program: A team of financial experts provide business training for the private health care facilities, and supports them to write business plans for their facilities. The team supports the facilities to improve on their business performance and helps them to access loans that are directly utilizes by the facilities to improve quality of care.

Priority is given to the facilities that deliver public goods that are essential in attaining the millennium development goals (Reproductive and Child Health Services, HIV/AIDS services, Tuberculosis services etc)
The Medical Credit Fund Program is setting an example in sustainable quality improvement plan that will help the private health sector in Tanzania to propel the country into achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
